Christian Bauer/Tangram Film’s long-awaited documentary on RFE/RL will premier in Germany on arte, the Franco-German TV cultural channel, on February 4, 2009, at 9:00 pm. A DVD in English and German, and no doubt other TV broadcasts, will follow.
Many current and former RFE/RL associates have provided contacts, interviews, and archive materials for the documentary.
Many listeners were interviewed. Hoover Institution provided material from the RFE/RL Collection. RFE/RL has licensed use of its copyrighted archives.

A note on new documentaries on RFE/RL. Alex Solomon's documentary, Cold Waves, on the impact of RFE in Romania, has been shown in Romania and elsewhere in Europe. We plan a screening at the Romanian Embassy in Washington on February 10, 2009.
Christian Bauer's (Tangram Films, Germany) documentary on RFE, To Russia With Love, will premier on Arte in late February 2009.
